Kingdom wants us to be aware that if any media contact us about doing stories about the SCA it must go to kingdom to be approved. Also, minors are being approached by the media - they need permission from their partents to do so. Written permission must be gained to use logos, names, etc. from the society.
SCA corporate (the BoD) is discussing background checks will be done for anyone dealing with youth.
SCA Waivers/sign-ins need to be done at all practices. The possibility of a mistress of the lists was discussed.
From Lenora:
The defenders cloak cannot be washed or dry-cleaned. Water makes the cloak fabric run. Drycleaning fluid makes the embroidery run.

We are preparing for war season, starting with Sealion. We are looking forward to having as many Seagirians as possible attend.
Plans are in the works for the next year. We are looking at a sergeants travel fund to send the sergeants to Europe, and possibly for some new equipment.
Other Business
Sealion:
Looks like we'll have a very large attendance this year.
All of the cabins have been rented. There is a waitlist.
We need people to be in charge of children's activities.
We also need a rapier marshal.
Event Bids:
We require an autocrat for Sergeants.
We have two bids for SST. One from Seth and one from Alinora.
Alinora's bid was accepted.
