Elina passed around updated pictures of the Baronial Coronets being made by Asa.
Elina told the meeting she had been approached by Michaela about starting a College of Pages in the Barony. She explained that the function of the College was to encourage service, the arts and courtesy among the 12 to 17 year old members of Seagirt. She asked if we should form a College. The majority supported it and she will see if Michaela is interested in organizing it and she will see about making the necessary changes to the Baronial by-laws.
Exchequer
The balances for this month were $4,919.41 in chequing, $2,500. in term deposits and $119.35 in US Funds. We also still have a $100.00 deposit with Camp Bernard.Reann advised that with outstanding expenses, plus the $1000. deposit to be made for the Daffodil site, we will have a little less than $1000 until Daffodil, but that should be all-right. The term deposits will be renewed. The costs of SST are still to be processed.

Batu has had his first inquiry from a potential newcomer.

Baron & Baroness
Mathieu and Orianna are hoping to have a Tavern night on September 23, but it is still site dependant. and Seth would like to organize a "Pas" Information on these events will be promulgated as soon as the details are settled.
There will be a scroll making night held at Theochrista’s place in October in order to get a reserve of scrolls built up, as their Excellencies often don’t get recommendations until the week before an event and it doesn’t leave enough time to do scrolls needed. For those who would like to learn how to design and draw a scroll, Baroness Glynis will be teaching a class at A&S on the 27th of September.
SST had an attendance of 102 and the profit for the event was $372.94.
Our new Seagirt Champions are:
Heavy Ming Lum Pee
Light Wulfgar
Archery SethStarr
A&S Desamona
Boffer Alex
Surtr declares ne will enter all SST challenges next year.
Site problems that arose at SST included the fridge not being turned on the night before and consequently it was not as cold as it should have been for the food. Lenora advised the Scot’s Board that it was a food safe issue. The will charge us for only one day and make sure of ample lead time for all uses of the fridges in the future.
Painting was going on in the cabins while they were being used despite being asked if they would finishing before the weekend and being told they would be.
Most everything went well at the event with the exception of 2 small problems. One was a campfire being lighted despite the ban on all such fires. It was put out upon being advised that it was a violation of the fire regs.
The send was the amount of noise that came from the party on the erics in the centre of the main field and people making a noise by the lake late into the night. We may have to restrict lake access after 11pm as the ranger will be moving into the house and it would be inappropriate to have noise there late at night. Drumming should cease by midnight and to help ensure it, it would be helpful if drums were put away.
Yule Revel is looking at finalizing a site shortly and there will be more information at the October meeting.
