Seagirt Council Minutes for November 7, 2006

As discussed at the last council, Makela does wish to be Dean of Pages and the Officer form will be sent. We are also sending new forms for Emma and Anna Jane and they see to have gone astray. Allen wishes to be Games Master, we will send forms for him as well.
Asa has almost finished the new coronets and I hope we will have the in time for Yule Revel.

Exchequer
Reann advised that she had transferred the additional $500. to GICs, the total is now $3,000. She then passed out the Income and Expenses report to Nov 2006 and reminded the council that we need to hold a Baronial Budget Meeting. It was decided that part of the next council meeting will be given over to the Budget Meeting.
Current Bank Balance $2,510.99 Cdn; $119.35 US; Term Deposit $3,000.

Master of Stables
We have about 10 - 12 fighter’s showing up regularly for fighting practice.

I will have to cancel next week’s practice, otherwise all as usual.

Chronicler
Nothing to report.

Herald
A couple of people have shown interest in devices. I will get a consulting herald to help them. A Scriptorium night was held at Theocharista’s to make scrolls for upcoming Baronial Courts.

A&S
A&S is getting busier. We have had classes in Trapunto and Games. Tomorrow evening Glynis will be teach bog coats and at the next classes evening we will be learning how to use the Internet for research.
Antonia advised she would be stepping down from the A&S office in February as she is moving to Scotland in April. A posting will be made to the Rocks asking for interested candidates. My deputy is interested in taking over.

Castellan
Anastasia reported for Batu: There are plans for a demo to be help at the Montessori School. They hade wanted the demo to take place during the day. I advised that as most of our members work or attend university an evening demo would be more workable.
The Jan de Fuca Senior’s Centre loved the demo we did for them and want to have us come back. They gave us a $100. honorarium.
Someone doing an event at the Empress contacted Elina. They want people for 5 or 6 hours for a demo, probably Elizabethan. We will get clarification of their requirements.

Dance
Dance has been happening as usual. . We raised $95.03 this month from our pass the hat.

Baron & Baroness
The Baroness advised that Bead class is happening. She would like to run it through the Seagirt Bank Account, as it is a Seagirt Workshop. HL Algytha is donating her garage as the location. The Teacher will be bringing 2 Korean students with her. She felt they would enjoy meeting us.
Social nights are still happening on Friday evenings. There will be another Scriptorium evening; James offered to have it happen at his home on November 24th.
The Pas Revel made a profit of $87.00 and about 67 people came and had a good evening.
We still need an autocrat for Sealion anyone interested please put in a bid.
