It's been a slow month.
We require recommendations for awards for Sergeants and SST.
Looking forawtd to Sealion. We encourage as many people as possible to go.
His Excellency decrees the official Seagirtian "coin of the realm" to be dark chocolate with white chips.
Other Business
Lenora:
- Brock is clearning out a bunch of his stuff. Please take stuff.
- Returned from June Faire. 1500 SCA'ers and 2000-5000 mundanes in attendance.
Would like to do somehting similar to attract newcomers. Most of our demos are
on a per request basis, and are not attracting a large number of newcomers. After discussion, it has been decided to have a separate meeting to discuss details (info to be posted to the rocks).
SST:
- Autocratted by Morgaine Essex.
- Rough schedule is in place.
- Discussions re: day food are in progress.
- Will be in contact with the champions re: contest details.
- Copies and forms have been sent, so we are official.
SYG:
- Autocratted by Lord Scum.
- No sergeants candidates, but the event will still happen and will have a sergeantry focus.
- Report enclosed.
Theocharista has volunteered to autocrat Yule.
Daffodil:
- Bid in: the date has been changed to March 24th no longer conflict with summits coronet.
- 30th daffodil.
- No tournament followed by sit down feast.
- Site fee is $15.
- Evening will include a free tavern feast.
- Theme: Come home to Seagirt.
Bid approved.
Uilliam:
- Next year being the 30th anniversary of Seagirt, would like to have a float in the Victoria Day Parade.
- Uilliam is willing to pay the trailer rental costs and is willing to supply his vehicle to tow it.
- Lenora suggests the Oak Bay Tea Party Parade.
- After discussion, it has been decided to have the chatelaine look into details and report to council.
