From: Karen Woodward [woodward@islandnet.com] Sent: January 10, 2005 8:16 PM To: Tir Righ Principality Herald; seagirt-baroness@antir.sca.org; seagirt-seneschal@antir.sca.org; Baron of Seagirt Subject: Seagirt Herald's Year End Report The year started quietly with little activity in January. In February my Protocol Deputy HL Margaree stepped down due to mundane workload. March was also quiet although my Order of Precedence Deputy Kit Reid confirmed that he had completed updating the Order of Precedence on the Seagirt web site. April brought the annual Daffodil Tourney where many Seagirtians received recognition and honour. In May I announced that the first Arts & Science night of each month would be designated for heraldic consultations so that people would have easier access to assistance if they required it. In June there were several submissions of names and devices. In July I was away on holiday and therefore did no work. In August I lost both my Book Deputy Eogan and my Order of Precedence Deputy Kit but was able to complete a couple of new submissions. In September HL Theocharista graciously stepped up as my new Book Deputy. I also began collecting names to be included in the Doom's Day Book. In October I continued my name collecting (we were working on the theory that only those who actually said they wanted to be included should be) and consulting. In November I completed a couple of new submissions and started work on updating the Seagirt ceremonial. Since Arts & Science had combined with Dance and I regularly attend Dance, I let it be know that I would be available for consultation at any dance practice. Other than Yule where several gentles were recognised by the Baron & Baroness and by the Princess of Tir Righ December has been quiet as we all deal with the holiday season.
