Seneschal's Report
I have taken Aelina as a deputy

Calendar: Investiture Nov 21, Ithra Nov. 28, Yule Revel Dec. 11, all in Seagirt, don’t have calendar, refer to the one on the web site.

I will be attending the administrative retreat, is there any others who are interested in going? Let me know in the next day, after that I will be releasing the bunk spaces.

Money was missing from Dance Mistress’ ‘pass the hat’ collection. Be careful of your property.

Remember to copy me on your quarterly reports that are due soon.

Exchequer’s Report
We have $4,500 in GIC’s, over $1,200 in our Cdn account and $469.92 in the US account.

The Financial meeting will be held in November.

Stores: Nothing new to report

Master of Stables Report
Practices are going well, We will be having no more Wednesday night practices as it is getting to dark. We have a lot of new fighters. There will be one war practice each month.

Master of Fence:
Vincent is stepping down as Fencing Marshall. He proposed Cert as his successor. Cert is appointed pro-tem and the posting will be open for one month.

Fencers are holding practices but attendance is low. Hartwood is bringing down several fencers to practice. We may look at an all island practice again.

Chronicler’s Report
Erik is our only applicant. He will be deputy to Uilliam until January when he will take over the office.
Herald’s Report
I have worked on several people’s new names and devices, hopefully they will soon be in submission. Theocharista is my deputy and will help to train any who are interested in book heraldry. Remember to send your names for the 40th Year Boke.

Arts and Sciences Report
Things are going well. We have moved to St. Giles and attendance has dropped a little. Meetings are being held Wednesday night at the Student Union Building.

Chatelaine and Dance Mistress’ Report
I am working on a school demo. I am trying to convince them to hold it in the evening rather than the afternoon as so many of our people are working during the day.

Lots of new people are coming out to dance. The total of pass the hat is $83.24. down from our average. It is likely that someone took some of the bills from the hat.

Minister of Children: Nothing to report.

St. Giles: No one present to report.

Crickstow:
Crickstow is hosting a simple tavern night for the November Ithra. They will also be holding a small Feast (for 30 people) in February. We are considering shutting down after Daffodil for the summer and starting again in the fall. We have so many people who are away during the summer

Baron and Baroness’ Report
We are stick and tired of camping. It has been a long season. We have a busy fall ahead with lots of events. We are getting ready for 12th night. Please send us any Baronial award recommendations you have and please copy us on Kingdom level recommendations.

Gold Key Material. Her Excellency Glynis reminded the council of the decision to get rid of the old Gold Key and to make new t-Tunics. Several possibilities for acquiring fabric for them were discussed. It was decided that we will use poly cotton in green and gold and that the A&S Mistress $100 fund will be put toward the purchase of this fabric at a good sale price.

Ithra
We have raised enough funds to invite two teachers from River’s Region The Grand Ithra will be held at St. Giles On the last weekend in November. The catalogs should be available by the end of October.

Yule Revel: There will be a bardic competition for plays of 5 minutes or under on the theme of the festive season. Baron James will be organizing it. There will be the traditional dessert competition. The categories are, best tasting, most period, best soteltie. There will be activities for the children early in the evening. We will have dancing and the gift tree exchange.

Daffodil:

It is back at the Sannich Fair Grounds. Theocharista has taken over the Feast. It is being held on March 18th.

There is a Museum Demo in Ravensley: they would like to have guests to come and assist with this event. We are promised a good dinner. Let Lenora know who would like to attend.

Cooks Guild is starting up again on October 14, at Theocharista’s home. All interested in medieval food, cooking and traditions are welcome.

Brianna presented an event proposal for an Equestrian Clinic for the Ladies of the Rose. It will be sellf-sufficient. This will be going on the same weekend as Yule Revel.

She requested $50. for the equestrian insurance. This was agreed to.

Brianna will fill out an event reservation for. She also mentioned she would like this to be an Ithra. She and the Chancellor Brenethwyn will discuss it.
