  • About Us

The Barony of Seagirt is a Victoria, British Columbia branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (S.C.A.), a non-profit educational group that learns about the Middle Ages and the Renaissance by assuming a character from that time, wearing the costume appropriate to that character, and participating in period activities such as dance, arts and sciences, medieval games, warfare, cooking, and others.

If you are new to the S.C.A. or completely unfamiliar and just wondering what this is all about, we suggest you click here for a good read about what the S.C.A. is all about.

There are about 300 regular players on Vancouver Island (known in the Current Middle Ages as Insula Magna).

    Branches on the Island include:
    The Barony of Seagirt
    (Victoria, B.C.)
    The Shire of Hartwood

    (Courtney, B.C. and North Island)
The incipient Shire of Raven's Key
